丁志青和黄赛峰都是营造场景的高手，不同的是一个表现现实，一个表现记忆。
Both Ding Zhiqing and Huang Saifeng are masters in creating atmospheres, one from the eyes of a realist, one through memories.

丁是一位当代现实主义的代表，从画面来说，他拉开了画面的饱和度，却运用光线渲染了整个画面的视觉点。他的画面总以冷色为主，用大面积的荧光色夺走你的目光，从而很客观的表现出当下社会浮躁的一面，他是这个时代的呐喊者，他的人物处理大多着重于侧脸或者背影，画面的主心从来不在人物，但也少不了人物。他表现出浮躁的社会却又不让画面浮躁这是难能可贵的。从人物场景的寥寥数笔，便能看出他扎实的写实功底，但却没有卖弄。他的画面如同静止的镜头一般，告诉了我们很多他想说的。我们就如同一个倾听者，站在他的作品前，看着他想诉说的种种....
Ding Zhiqing is a representative of modern realism. He elevates saturation and employs light to build up ambience. His pictures are mostly in cold tones with sharp neon hues, quietly reveal the discontent side of the urban city. The artist shouts out for the people of the period, tend to choose to paint the sides or backs of the people, rather than the fronts, to avoid focusing on any characters. In the series, characters are never emphasized but are always present. Resentment is exposed but not overtaking the canvases, a rare practice in the art world. Through the painterly brushes we see the competence in realist portrayals, steady, but not ostentatious. These images are whispering as that of still frames from moving pictures. Maybe we are listeners, standing in front of the paintings, listening to the whispers...

他的画面都很孤独，华丽的灯光色彩反衬了人物的形单影只，反映了当下社会的冷漠，社会信任的缺失，底层人民的忙碌。也许不是他的提醒，我们都不会驻足去注意每一个街角重复发生着的“生活”。他在寻找那种质朴，也是年龄，也是社会，也是时间，也是家乡。
All the frames are lonely, with lavish lighting contrasting the sense of seclusion. The series is an attempt in reflecting the isolation among the habitants, the fade of trust and the bustle among the grassroots. Maybe we would not notice these ”bits of life” on street corners without his reminder. Ding Zhiqing is looking for something deep-down, maybe age, maybe society? maybe time? maybe home.

黄认识他好久了，初识他时，他正处于创作童年记忆梦境那个时期，这是一个烂大街的主题了，记忆，童年，旋转木马，游乐场，并不新颖，可是他的作品却表现出不同的风貌。他不同于伤痕回忆那么刻骨，却有西方童话作家的那种浪漫，具有超现实主义的场景氛围，孤独的有些阴森。他这一时期的作品，普遍孤独。光和场景承托出的儿童乐园那么的凄凉，看着使人不禁落泪。他运用镜头感的光晕，瞬间使我分不清现实与梦境，也许人生来孤独，也许人生来质朴。他的画面静谧而阴森，不注重透视，让人有种想偷窥的欲望。他的画面唯美而浪漫，浓郁的情感抒发扑面而来。
I have known Huang Saifeng for a long time. When I first met him, he was creating this series on childhood dreamscape and memories. These themes are overused, old stories, merry-go-round and playground are nothing new. Nonetheless, his works are different from striking scar art but as dreamy as fairy tales. They borrow ambience from surrealism, lonely and sometimes eerie. His works in this period are mostly lonesome. His choice of light and surrounding objects make the parks look even more depressing, a moving series to look at. Light seems to come through a lens, making me forget what is real. Perhaps everyone is born alone, perhaps everyone is born simple. The frames are unreal and bizarre, perspectives are handled freely, giving a sense of voyeurism. The artist created a series of aesthetic and overwhelming images.
