As an innovator and explorer in the field of Chinese contemporary calligraghy, Yang Xiaojian started to show his artworks nationally and internationally since the 1990’s. In 1998, Yang Xiaojian was involved in an art exhibition in National Art Museum of China. In 2006, Yang was honored with a solo exhibition abroad in Tokyo Japan. Ten years on, Yang Xiaojian’s artworks were collected respectively by National Art Museum of China(Beijing); Shanghai World Financial Center (Shanghai), The U.S Rockefeller Family, Ritz-Carlton Hotel Shanghai , LVMH Group France, The Grand Hyatt Hotel Chengdu and widely favored by foreigners from around the globe.

“The first step of Yang Xiaojian’s calligraphic journey is to explore how to move away from tradition,”Fan Di’an, curator of Chinese Art Gallery, said. “ However, he has never intentionally rest on the traditional calligraphy.
